Nike Air Carnivore Retro's in Summer 2010 Yess !!!Featuring HISD

Nike continues the cross training releases with the Air Carnivore one of the more futuristic sneakers that came out in the early 90s. Released in 1993 the Air Carnivore's where one of the more slept on if not forgotten releases of that decade overshadowed by its basketball shoe brother the Nike Air Unlimited which was the signature shoe of David Robinson (Pic here).The Air Carnivore was a shoe ahead of its time the straps on the shoe prevent spraining your ankle while making the shoe easy to put on and take off which gave the wearer much needed convenience . Great new cross trainer fans the Diamond Turfs return next year . Nike is bringing back various cross trainers next year , but the release that has garnered my attention the most is the Diamond Turf. As a born Cowboys fan Deion was one of my favorite players and one my favorite athletes of all time. The only man to every win the Super Bowl and play in the World Series ( Does Bo Know this!!) . The retro of this shoe makes me ecstatic because I messed out on the DT Max 96s that retroed so I have a chance to redeem my self. Anyway more about the sneaker Deion wore these in 93 after his trip to the World Series.


With the re retro of this shoe after its retro in 04 Nike is taking a risk at these flopping like its previous release but, luckily many collectors are willing to buy the sneakers they grew up more than ever since Nike has been releasing quality cross training retros lately the Griffey 1 retro being the prime example so we may see a very good quality sneaker which makes this an even sweeter release.

Air Jordan 2 Knicks colorway

People that know me also know that Im a sucker for Knicks colorways something about the orange and blue makes me wanna spend the few dollars I have to attain that classic colorway. Now Air Jordan brings us an Air Jordan 2 knicks colorway one of the more slept on shoe models of the signature line this shoe pays homage imo to the Knicks one of the Bulls greatest enemies during their heyday.

Reebok Twilight Zone Retros' in 2010

For all you Reebok Pump fans and 90s sneaker fans in general this shoe might garner your attention again. The Twilight Zone is expected to be retroed in the first quarter of 2010 for the first time since its original release during 1990 marking its 10ths with two original general release colors and a P.E colorway worn exclusively by Dominque Wilkins that was never released to the public . Hopefully the shoes are as durable as the first release Reebok is one of the more capable sneaker brands when it comes to delivering spot on retros . Black White Concord 6s summer 010

Another simple Jordan 6 colorway is expected to release this summer of 2010 with contrasting white stitching and a concord and white lacelock, also an icy sole . I like this simple colorway and it might be on my list of jordan pickups for the summer.

Yohji Yamamoto Files for Bankruptcy

Iconic Designer Yohji Yamamoto of Y-3 has filed for Bankruptcy the innovative designer has a debt of $68.7 million . Y-3 will still be active through the bankruptcy lets pray that old man Yama gets over this slump and continues to create groundbreaking designs at Y-3 the shoes he makes are of great quality and design he has brought a fresh touch to the Athletic Shoe industry that none have yet to step up and challenge. With this streamlined futuristic designs.

The Thrill of the Hunt

Probably the most forgotten part of sneaker collecting is the hunt , today's modern collector does not hunt for his sneakers they don't travel out of their comfort zone to find that pair their looking for .I finally found my favorite Adidas of all time the Adidas Metro Attitudes in the Knicks Colorway, I hunted all over Houston for them and planned a trip to go get them for the steal of 50 dollars even though they where on finishline.com for the same price.


Why because I loved the thrill of the hunt its so much better riding around calling a thousand stores bugging the owner for that one pair of sneakers that fills up an important part of their collection. I mean the shoes quality is great the leather doesn't crease they are comfortable its an all around great retro and that's how it should be . It was me my brother, and our boy Anthony aka Sage running around Houston woth only 50 dollars and no food money and I was thinking "where they still there somebody could have bought them ah crap ". You know what it all paid off just hoping to get those sneakers . That's why I'am a sneakerhead I love kicks with a passion I hunt , barter and scrounge up the ends to find that pair like all collectors let them be car , toy or wine connoisseurs this is what I do this is my life.

Ghostface Killah X Adidas Forum Purple Tapes

Yo for all you diehard Toney Starks and sneaker connoisseurs out there this is the double whammy in honor of Def Jam;s 25th anniversary they are releasing sneakers for all there best artist . These shoes are coming in a Purple suede with a gold G on the side , The Wally Champs mug on the tongue and a gum sole bottom. I dub these the Purple Tapes .

For those that don't know when Cuban Linx first came out Raekwon had his tape come out in the color purple than the usual black tape so the consumer could distinguish his tape from the other shark biten ass rappers. See a drug dealer would have a different color vial from his competitors so the fiends would pick his over the others low grade shit. Also with Cuban Linx II coming in September more than likely the shoe is set to release to coincide with the album

T.R.O.Y New Balance 790 Retro James Worthy

Up this is when They Reminisce Over You Thursday celebrating the culture of sneaker collecting

and hip hop for all the older heads and the young ones who want to learn the history.

For all you old heads ( serious old heads like Bobbito and his crew ) who were balling in the 80s this release is a dream come true. In the book Where'd You Get Those Bobbito and his friends who I like to call only in jest the Salts they spoke of this shoe and many other New Balance shoes with such pride ,because New Balance running shoes were expensive at that time going for a 100 dollars .Which we all no in the hip hop community it doesn't matter how it looks as long as its expensive it is the ultimate status symbol hah. All New Balance shoes were considered official after James Worthy started wearing them ( hell he even had his name on the tongue of the 785s)not only were they a dope shoe they had great ankle support. For all you old timers who remember buying or boosting them you all can quit sighing about the golden days and finally get that pair no news yet on the release date but we will surely keep you posted.

The Growth

I have released in order for me to even make a foray into the sneaker culture I need to have respect for the platform I have luckily been allowed to use to voice my opinion on sneaker culture and drop information. For me K-Life is important their will be daily updates on sneakers and other things that are related to hip hop and Fighting games. The reason why I added the latter is I have been a serious fighting game fan hell I learned how to do the shoryuken before I could read Lol LOl lol so hey everybody make way for the Homo Superior ( pause indefinitely ).

NIke RT1 High Summer 2009

For all you fans of the Air Yeezy's that probably won't be able to purchase them without going over retail. These are the shoe for you these are a stripped down version of the Air Yeezy without the sole of the Air Revolution/Jordan 3 or the strap. To some this shoe may seem bland and as a cop out I personally believe it is the latter , but it is a nice fair alternative to those who won't be in the key cities. The shoe will be released in April after the Air Yeezy's. The colorways are nice and subtle with a Black and Red colorway, Grey and Mint , and White and Pure Purple.

Nike Air Trainer III Black Max Orange

Another hot post for you Air Trainer Fans out there . The shoe line is making a huge comeback . This colorway of the Air Trainer 3 is a certified neck breaker the orange and purple give the shoe a nice amount of flare without overwhelming the black. Speaking of flares could these be a Suns colorway ????. Release date pending but we will keep you posted.

The return of the Nike Air Trainers has been meet with positive response by sneaker heads every were. This particular colorway is a must cop with a primary black upper and neon on the swoosh, eyelets,and sole. I find it reminiscent of the trainer from Clark Kent 112 pack that I slept so these are a must cop. No release date has been confirmed so we will keep you posted. Does Bo Know Come Backs ???

Air Jordan x A Tribe Called Quest Sole to Sole

Many old A Tribe Called Quest fans and sneaker connoisseur's remember the 90s as the golden age of hip hop and shoe collecting. Jordan's and Nike Air Trainers , Nike Flights and Forces , The Native Tongues movement Nas , DJ Premier beats in full effect. Jordan Brand pay's homage to one of the most iconic rap albums of all time The Low End Theory. Using the colors of the Afrocentric movement and of The Album cover art. These shoes are a great homage to the time period when Hip Hop blended consumerism with awareness of its culture. The shoes are set to come out in February in honor of black history month.
